ELLEgirl - Changmin Backstage Highlights

ImageHost.org
Changmin who's staying shortly in Japan for a day and two nights. Even though he stayed up late for work the day before, he entered the studio with energy. By the way, the clothes he was wearing was a black deep V-neck t-shirt with denims, and wore sandals which completed a relaxed casual look.

In the studio there was dim lighting. Won't the staff get sleepy then? And they replied "No no no!" and wouldn't let us take a glimpse of Changmin. No matter how sleep deprived they are, until they finish their job, something like the tension must keep them awake.

In the makeup room, he uses half Korean and half Japanese to chat with the staff around him. Sometimes you can hear his laugh from outside.

In the 'first look' revealed in our August issue, the full set of clothes actually looks like this. Changmin said that this style would be the closest to what he wears. Talking about that, at the Chanel show that he attended the day before the shooting, we saw him wearing his scarf rolled up like that.

During the shoot, the staff requested to Changmin that to "think of the cameraman as you girlfriend!". And it worked (!?) Facing bald and fierce cameraman Mitsuo-san, he kept making expressions of love.

By the way this is Mitsuo-san. For this day only, he became "Mitsuko" and took many lovely photos (laughs)

These are the clothes and accessories prepared for the shoot. Are you one that brings a lot of accessories to Japan? And he answered "Before, even if it was a short time, I would stuff my suitcase with many things, but recently it's quite compact. It's cos in the end, you can only use so many things. Things I need are skincare products and some clothes. I don't use the hotel amenities much, and use my own lotion", spoken like a true jet-setter.

Changmin that doesn't have time to buy his own clothes because he's so busy. From the clothes prepared for the shoot, there's been many times that he's bought those clothes. Even though he's not on the cover this time, from the clothes prepared, he seems to fancy the black jacket with shirred sleeves from "ATTO".

Changmin who is getting along like friends with the stylist Sasagawa-san. What type would a good friend be? And asking that, Changmin was being dazed by the answer, and his manager answered instead. "From a third person perspective, Changmin has many youth-like and pure friends around him" watching sports with everyone, drinking at home, passing his time like a normal 22 year old.

Changmin who stretches during breaks, and often massages his face muscles. In the break "Are you bad at smiling" was asked by the staff, and he bluntly denied.... obviously he doesn't like to lose. It's regretful that even though it was mentioned on the cover, in fact we didn't publicise Changmin's smile and hid it privately.

In last time's shoot, Changmin received directions on how to pose, and this time he's working hard on his posing himself. Like putting his hands in his pockets, moving his feet position, flipping his hair...... keeping a crisp tempo, and really a lot of variety! Check out our highly praised August issue for Changmin's friendly shoot, on sale now!! Appearing from the double doors with a "kaboom"!

And lastly, as there were lots of questions from readers about "food", we'll go through it a bit here. Refreshments prepared for the shoot are of the Japanese taste that he loves, Tsukiji's tenmusu! [T/N: Tsukiji is a place name, tenmusu is a Japanese cousine of tempura in a onigiri.]

Something refreshing is Japan's freshest cherries from Takano, Shinjuku. Coming to Japan this time, it seems that there's been cherries at each location.

To Changmin who shouted "I'm hungry~~" after the shooting finished, additionally, we gave as a present, baumkuchen and cookies to mark the end of the day. Last time he didn't eat much because he was on a diet, but this time he enjoyed the tenmusu a lot. Just to let you know, the first thing he ate when he came to Japan was pork ramen and curry udon.
