First On Oricon Weekly Chart

Group TVXQ's first Japanese Best Album made TVXQ the first Asian group to rank first on the Oricon Weekly Charts for Albums.

According to Oricon Style on the 23rd, TVXQ' best album 'Best Selection 2010', which was released on the 17th, sold 413,000 copies in the first week which ranked them as first on the
Oricon Weekly Charts for albums.

Oricon Style stated, "This is the most a foreign artiste has sold in the first week," and "This is also the first for an Asian male singer." TVXQ broke the record for the most foreign albums sold in the first week: Bon Jovi's 'These Days' which was released in June, 1995 and sold 379,000 copies.

This means that TVXQ broke a record
that was held for 14 years and 8 months.

TVXQ debuted in Japan in April, 2005 and their fourth album
'The Secret Code', which was released in March 2009,
ranked 2nd on the weekly Oricon charts.
