[TRANS] 110114 Kim Tae Hyun's Embarrassing First Meeting With TVXQ VV

Comedian Kim Tae Hyun recently talked about his first meeting with TVXQ.

On E Channel's 'Poker Face', Kim Tae Hyun revealed how he met TVXQ during a provincial event.

Kim Tae Hyun said, "In the bathroom at the venue, I met a group who looked like rookies. I thought they looked a little pitiful, so I went up to them and said, 'If you work hard, you can become as famous as me."

Later, he had to introduce TVXQ when the concert had reached its climax and he talked about that moment, "I realized that they (TVXQ) were the people I had met and given advice to in the bathroom. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't lift my head up."

Following this, other celebrities in the program did not hide their praise for TVXQ and their polite manners as they said, "Those guys have always greeted everyone with a courteous bow," and called them "Polite-dols".

[TRANS] 110114 Tohoshinki's First #1 On Recochoku Daily Rankings

Tohoshinki's new single, highly anticipated by the whole of Asia, 『Why？（Keep Your Head Down）』, will be released on 26 January. The song in this single has acquired first place on the Recochoku Daily Ranking for the very first time!

This piece of work will be used as the OST song for the drama [Beautiful Neighbours], starring Yukie Nakama, Mayumi Rei and Watanabe Tokurou.

[INFO] 110114 Oricon 2010 Yearly Market Report - Avex & Tohoshinki #2

On the 14th, Oricon compiled and released the 2010 yearly music sales numbers in the [2010 Yearly Market Report]. Based on the annual sales for [Singles], [Albums], [Music DVD], and [Music BD], Arashi, who made their debut in 1999, takes the top spot for the second year running for [Artist Total Sales], with the highest record of ¥17.1 billion (approx. USD$2.1 billion). For the second year running, Sony Music Entertainment, through artists like Ikimonogakari and Nishino Kana, took first place in the category of [Manufacturer Total Sales].

[TRANS] 110114 Tohoshinki's Drama OST Song Gift All Taken Up In 2 Minutes

The drama [Beautiful Neighbours] (Kansai TV・FujiTV, Tuesdays, 10PM), starring actress Yukie Nakama, started airing on the 11th. It was reported on the 13th that after it's first broadcast, free limited edition gifts in the form of the OST song 「Why？（Keep Your Head Down）」 by Tohoshinki were given out and 5,000 was taken up in 2 minutes.

The 2-member Tohoshinki comprising of Yunho and Changmin, will be making their actual comeback this year and they started the revival of their activities through the broadcast of their drama OST song during prime time. This drama is off to a good start with viewership ratings of 14.3% (Kanto) and 17.7% (Kansai). Back home in Korea, a surge in users could also be seen as the site that provides the song went down for an hour.

NeoWiz Internet got together with Asia's top group TVXQ from SM Entertainment to release a smartphone application for the group's album 'Why (Keep Your Head Down)'.

The 'Why (Keep Your Head Down)' album app allows users to enjoy 10 songs from the album, various videos such as TV ads/greetings/music videos and a 50 page photobook.

Through 'In App Purchases', which allows users to buy products within the app, people can download the application for free and then buy the songs they wish to get. Each song costs 0.99 USD and all songs are available in a package for 7.99 USD.

Director Lee Jun Hwan of NeoWiz Internet stated, "As TVXQ is Asia's top group, their application will be available wordwide and we are targeting the global market with it," and "As TVXQ is popular in the 20s and 30s age range, a lot of whom use smartphones, we believe the application will be successful."

[TRANS] 110111 TVXQ To Begin Activities In Variety Shows With 'Running Man' And 'Chocolate'

TVXQ, who have returned to K-pop for the first time in two years and three months, will be appearing on various variety shows.

The group, who made their comeback on various music programs last week, were seen on the set of SBS TV's show 'I Like Sundays-Running Man' on the 10th at the Seoul Arts Center.
