– What’s Your Dream Date?
What’s your dream date?
My diary is only for my future marriage partner. If I can show her my diary during a date,
that’s when I’ll propose!
What’s your dream date?
[Left] I love Harajuku. Although I want to eat crepes more than shopping,
the line… (laugh)
[Right] I want to be in charge of the dating course.
Things like what we are going to do,
I definitely want to decide those myself
What’s your dream date?
The places I work at are the studio or narrow places, so if we go for a drive, definitely the sea!
LOVE Q+A
Q: Are you the type that prefers to plan the date yourself?
A: I want to do it myself. I’m the type who will do up the date plan beforehand and practice it myself first. Although there are many people who go out without any plans, but if I do that I won’t have a peace of mind. No matter what it is, I want to decide what is the one goal for the day.
Q: If you go for a drive, where will you head to?
A: As a lot of the places I work at are narrow locations, if I go for a drive I want to go somewhere with a lot of space;
the sea would be nice.
I have confidence in my driving technique.
Q: Are you OK with your girlfriend wearing clothes that are very revealing?
A: If it’s only in front of me then it’s OK.
Having said that, basically I’m not the type who will interfere and if she wears it out I won’t be angry either.
But I think I’ll be a little worried.
Q: Which of the fashion that you tried today is closest to your own wardrobe?
A: The marine one.
I like buttons so I wear them often.
I suddenly woke up to find that I’ve already turned 20. (laugh)
I can’t look improper! I also started wearing jackets.
Q: How do you feel about going to Harajuku for a date?
A: Even if I don’t shop, it’ll be fun just to walk around so it’s fine.
Before this I had a chance to go to Harajuku to play and although
I wanted to eat an enormous amount of crepes the line was too long so I gave up. (laugh)
INTERVIEW WITH CHANGMIN!
Tohoshinki-Changmin’s future career
“Anyhow, right now I want to work hard at acting. It’s the first time I’m taking on the challenge of a drama so everything is difficult. At the beginning, my expression and movements were all very stiff…”
As he said this, the smile on Changmin’s face was dazzling. As a member of the super popular vocal group Tohoshinki with countless hit songs, he is now only 22 years old. Now, he is going to have his drama debut in his home country, South Korea, filming for the melodrama [Paradise Meadow]. This time, for the shoot with Elle Girl, he came to Japan after a long while. The drama is complicated, where Changmin acts as a young man who meets his divorced partner after a few years and they get together again.
“Because I have not been married before. (laugh)” (t/n: therefore it’s hard to play this part)
“But, wanting to accept someone whose living environment is completely different from mine since birth, this kind of feeling combined with my own experiences, can create chemistry. For me, firstly I need to work hard to accept the differences between us. Not only in love, but in all things, it is impossible to find someone who fits completely with you from the get go. Does it mean I don’t believe love at first sight exists? Of course it exists! The problem is whether you are able to accept the differences (laugh).”
As he said this, Changmin once again gave a cheeky smile. I hope to be able to see this smile, even in Japanese dramas.
“I’ll have to improve my Japanese even more (laugh). Up until now, I’ve always been singing, so of course I want to continue to sing. It’s undecided in what kind of formation and what type of songs to sing, but I hope that the fans who have always supported me will look forward to it. “
With a height of 186cm, it seems that there would be no problem filming even a Hollywood movie. Stepping into the worldwide scene is no longer just a dream.
“When I was a child, I was determined to get into an international school so I studied really hard and I think my English was fairly good then, but now I’ve more or less forgotten it all. When the filming for the drama ends, I really want to study again. I admire Takeshi Kaneshiro who can speak so many foreign languages and he is someone who is active in many countries. I want to become an entertainer who can sing and act, whether in Korea or Japan. This is my dream now. Therefore, I still have to improve even more in my Japanese.”
As Changmin is a hard worker, who possesses both talent and star quality, this dream will definitely come true soon. In the diary that he has kept for 3 years, did he also write about his strong desires for his dreams?
“Yesterday was my first rest day in a long time but I wrote about the filming for the drama. [Is it going well? ], [It's okay, don't worry about it.] (laugh) There are 2 reasons why I keep a diary. The first reason is that years later when I read it again, I can reflect upon myself. At that time, I might realize that the things I thought were difficult at that time might lose it’s meaning. From there, I will be able to really feel my own growth.”
The other is for romantic reasons.
“Someday, when I meet my future partner, I want to show my diary to her. How I lived on my own, what kind of feelings I had – [This, this is the me that wants to marry you] – I want her to know everything about me. Aside from that person, no one else can see it♪”
